American Businesswomen’s Association
Katy Charter Chapter # 2537
Welcome to the Katy Charter Chapter of ABWA. This note is designed
to answer some of the most frequently asked questions about ABWA and
the Katy Chapter.
The Katy Charter Chapter meets the second Tuesday of each month.
Networking is at 6pm. Dinner, business, and the scheduled program
begin at 6:30, and we are finished up by 8:30 or so.
Our chapter supports the ongoing education of our members and
scholarships for local area students. We sponsor an annual fund
raising event to generate the educational funds. Proceeds from
monthly raffles go to our educational funds. Speakers come from all
areas: Chamber of Commerce Executive Board members, educators,
attorneys, financial planners, investment counselors, personal
coaches, and the list goes on. We focus on helping our members’
growth both professionally and personally.

At the top is the TORCH, symbolizing light. May it lead our way to
clear thinking.
The SCROLL stands for our quest for knowledge through listening and
speaking,
through reading and thinking and through the pursuit of excellence.
Around the scroll is the GOLDEN CIRCLE OF FRIENDSHIP signifying
generosity, kindness, and affection.
The letters "ABWA" are inscribed on the scroll to unify us as
businesswomen
toward the goal of improving ourselves,
supporting each other and advancing women in business.
